Chrismas break

It's hard to believe that Christmas break is winding up here. We still have today and tomorrow and then of course the weekend. I guess I'm ready to get back at it, but it's been a nice break. Sunday we had the extended family Christmas at my parents, and as always, I loved getting to see my cousins and the little ones. Monday we had breakfast with my in-laws before they drove home and then we did some shopping of our own. I was surprised how many people had the same thought, both about eating and shopping! That afternoon JC spent with a friend, then that same friend spent the night here that night. Tuesday was spent getting the house ready for guys' poker night. I had originally planned to take the kids up to the lake, but felt lousy so we stayed home. Yesterday was a totally unscheduled day and today we are getting ready to host friends over this evening so cleaning/picking up is happening again. Tomorrow we'll be venturing out for New Year's eve at a friend's house, then Saturday is one of my favorite days of the year...college football ALL DAY! Sunday will find us getting ready to get back to school and all of the responsibilities that come with life. In the meantime, we are enjoying some quiet time!
