Yesterday afternoon we made the two-hour drive to visit our friends. We had seen them twelve weeks ago, but I'm so grateful they decided we needed to not go the entire summer without seeing them again. It was an absolutely lovely evening, and I've often felt as though their back yard is an oasis. There was so much laughter last evening. It was such a lovely visit.
We left them about 9:30 to make the two-hour drive home. For the first hour, Andrew and I truly enjoyed watching various fireworks light up the sky. It was a lovely visit with lovely weather, and then a lovely drive home!
