St. Patrick's Day

I'll be honest, for most of my life, St. Patrick's Day has meant very little to me. I have never in my life attended a St. Patrick's party, nor have I ever partaken of any green beer...or any other green beverage for that matter. I am amazed however, that it is such a big deal in the kids' classes. Their teachers make a big deal about the leprechaun who will visit overnight, and of course it is an "opportunity" to give out gold wrapped candy. I am by no means a health freak, not even close, but I am astonished at the amount of candy the kids bring home from school. It's given as a reward for everything. Anyway, the kids are all excited about making sure that we are wearing our green, and are quick to pinch us if we aren't!
