An extra little spring in my step

As I came to school this morning, I couldn't help but feel a little extra spring in my step.  Not only is it Friday, but the weather is absolutely AWESOME!  It felt chilly this morning, and that felt wonderful.  In fact, our high temperature today is lower than any of the lows we've had this week.  It really helped to put an extra spring my step this morning.

And of course it actually is Friday.  With the heat, it's been an incredibly long week.  I just don't seem to have the energy that I used to, and I find I need to go to bed around 9 or 9:30 these days.  Staying up until 10 isn't a good idea.  Knowing, however, that I get to sleep past 8:00 both tomorrow and Sunday does help a little bit with my perspective...and I am hoping for a nap after school as well!

The classroom I'm primarily in today (although I have to visit elsewhere during a couple of periods) is a second floor classroom that overlooks the back field at the school.  It was lovely this morning as the sun came up.  The trees look like fall, although they aren't full of color.  But things aren't the vibrant green of summer either, and it's a lovely reminder that my favorite season has arrived...and not just on the calendar!
