I understand that by the calendar date standard, it has been fall for ten days now. However, our area set record high temperatures in the low 90's Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Today is supposed to be near 90, but the cold front comes through this afternoon. Tonight into tomorrow, it becomes absolutely glorious! In fact tomorrow, it isn't supposed to get out of the 60's. I am thrilled beyond words. Checking the extended forecast, there is nothing higher than the upper 70's to be seen. It's my kind of weather!
I am looking forward to the first real fall weekend of the year. It's been a busy week, and our weekend has plenty of plans, but I always feel the cooler weather makes things better. Tomorrow evening the kids have a football commitment, and Andrew and I are hoping to grill some steaks for dinner as a celebration of the anniversary of our first date. Catherine is planning to attend an amusement park with her best friend on Saturday. Because of the distance, I will be driving them there and back. Andrew has to work Saturday morning. Sunday is church and a youth pancake breakfast following, and Catherine will work most of the day. It's certainly a weekend with a schedule, but on the upside, the weather will be delightful while doing so.
