Complete role reversal

For the first ten (plus) years of our marriage, Andrew was out the door early.  He was often leaving our house by 6:15...45 minutes before I even needed to be awake.  There are many mornings I can remember silently wishing he would hurry up and be finished getting ready so that I could get back to sleep.  Once we moved, he was able to leave about 20 minutes later, and by then the kids were at the middle school level so I was getting then up.  The first couple of years I was getting up around 6:15, then when Thomas started middle school I needed to be up about 5:45 to get him going, so that was only about 20 minutes after Andrew.  Then of course we hit those years when Robert was getting on the bus between 5:30 and 5:45, so I was getting up at 5, earlier than Andrew at that point.  For the last couple of years we had our routine that worked well for us.

Now, I am the one that needs to be leaving at 6:25 to drive my 35 minutes to work.  Andrew is the one that doesn't begin his day for another few hours.  On Monday and Thursday, his day begins (at. home) at 8, and the rest of the week it is at 9.  This morning when I kissed him at 5:50, he still had another hour and 45 minutes to sleep!  I'll be honest, I was a little jealous!  I wonder if he ever felt that way all those years when he was the early morning person!
